MARCH – SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!
Spring is fast approaching, bringing with it ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal and regrowth! I have news of a yoga session for your children, a weekend of fitness for charity and the next workshop.
HOLIDAYS / TRAVELING
On the road, yoga is a lovely companion and can help you physically recover more quickly from fatigue, a new time zone and long airplane rides. It also mentally supports you in staying grounded and calm. Continuing my theme of practicing whilst on holiday, I have included some photos of my yoga poses on the mountain, proving you can find time to stretch and balance before heading off to work or play!
Incorporate yoga on the go, fun in the snow:
VIDEO CLIPSWith all this holiday thought in mind, and to meet your constant yoga needs I will be offering a 15 minute yoga clip for you to take on your travels or use through the holidays when you can’t get to class (or when I’m away). I will bring you more news of this in the next Upd8!

HEALTHY SPRING CLEAN TIPS:
- CLEAN UP
Do something outside, if only for a short time – try a couple of sun salutations in your back garden! Take time to look at your surroundings and breath in the fresh air.
Laugh with someone – spend some time with a friend who makes you feel good and happy.
Yourself (and perhaps your house) lighten your diet and drink less alcohol and more herbal teas!
Encourage yourself to do something different or try TWO of my classes a week….get motivated and move.
Your mind and body – try meditation for 5 minutes:
Sit with crossed legs, take your right hand to your belly and your left hand to your heart. Close your eyes and focus on your breath:
We all have moments in our life when we are were not thinking or analyzing our experience, but simply “going with the flow.” In these moments, there’s no past or future, no separation between us and what is happening.
This is the essence of meditation, so let your mind relax and realise that letting go of everything for a couple of minutes during the day can have a wonderful rejuvenating effect.
For more help with Meditation please ask me for some guidance – sometimes we practice this at the end of the Greywell class on Wednesday mornings.
